Refund policy

Welcome to our refund or replace policy

We deliver our produce in the best possible condition, sometimes though, things go wrong and produce needs to be replaced or refunded.

Here are some guidelines on storing and handling fresh produce and how to contact us for a replacement or refund.

Main factors that affect fresh produce

  • Rain
  • Heat
  • Cold
  • Travel time from location

> Rain can cause splits, can permeate produce like pineapple and damage fine leaves as they grow. It can enter the produce via the stalks causing the interior to deteriorate.

> Heat can cause the produce to ripen quicker leading to shorter shelf life

> Cold can stunt growth leading to short supply

> Whilst we would love all things to be locally grown, this is not possible and other Australian growers have to provide the produce that you enjoy year round.

When produce travels long distance it can affect the item. Bruising, breakdown and temperature being the highest reason for this.

All of these factors are beyond our control - although we take care to

a) Check all produce (what we can see, we cannot see inside produce obviously)

b) We avoid growing areas that are affected where possible

c) We communicate with growers constantly

How WE store produce and how we suggest you do also

A fruiterer will always store produce in a cool room, and throughout warmer months this applies across the board.

We do not store fruit in a fruit bowl and advise our customers not to place in fruit bowls.

  • Fruit bowls cause produce to ripen quicker and over ripen
  • Cause bruising as fruit lays next to other produce
  • Damages adjacent fruit

As a guideline here are some suggestions.

Avocados - Fridge until ready to eat, leave out for a few hours for the cold to leave the flesh and enjoy. If green leave out for a little longer.

Stone Fruit - Fridge until ready to eat, leave out overnight for the flesh to warm and ripen and to be enjoyed

Bananas, Mangoes /Papaya, Pineapples - fruit tip - a wine fridge at about 11 -13 degrees, it holds off ripening and prevents blackening that the coolness of a fridge would cause

Berries - always in the fridge, bring out to warm up and enjoy 10 minutes before eating

Grapes - Fridge

Rockmelon - Fridge

Tomatoes - Summer fridge! Winter a bit more lenient, but if your home is locked up throughout the day then refrigerate

Capsicum - Fridge

Our warrant of freshness

The produce we deliver to you will be premium fresh & inspected before it arrives in your box.

If there is anything wrong with the produce within the first 24-48 hours please send a photo for us to pass to our growers and assess what has gone wrong with the item.

We will replace/refund any items that we agree have been delivered and are showing signs of breakdown or hidden breakdown within a fruit that was undetectable at the time of packing.

Produce that has not been stored according to our guidelines (such as proper refrigeration) and shows signs of breakdown due to handling after delivery may unfortunately not be eligible for replacement or refund.
